“Water is Life, Protecting it from Imminent Threats” will be the topic from our welcomed guest, Buzz Williams of The Chattooga Conservancy.

Buzz started as a whitewater guide and canoe instructor back in the 70's where he was head guide for Nantahala Outdoor Center on the Chattooga. He lead adventure trips to Costa Rica and New Zealand and was an Outward Bound instructor. He then worked with the US Forest Service as a River Ranger and conducted search and rescue operations, and served as official guide for Forest Service river trips. He then helped establish the Association of Forest Service Employees for Environmental Ethics (AFSEEE) chapter in the Andrew Pickens District, Sumter National Forest before helping found what is now the Chattooga Conservancy.
