Adopt-A-Stream

Georgia Adopt-A-Stream is a volunteer water quality monitoring project focused on increasing public awareness about pollution in Georgia's waterways, providing training for the public about monitoring water pollution, promoting cooperation between the public and government agencies that oversee water quality concerns for the state (Georgia Environmental Protection Division) and promoting collection of water quality data by the public.

Adopt-A-Stream monitoring can include visual surveys, bacterical monitoring, biological and chemical surveys.
