The Broad River Watershed is a largely rural area, where computers are typically older and connected to the Internet via dial-up modems. So, the design for the BRWA website is simple and text-driven.

Still, there are a few browser requirements for the best experience here. Web browsers from the 1990s may have problems displaying the pages correctly, and the occasional Javascript error box may pop up. Even so, the website should still be mostly readable and the vast majority of visitors should have no problems at all.

Parts of the site, especially the photo galleries, look best with screen resolutions of 1024×768 and higher. Again, this should be fine for most everyone, but some older screens may only go as high as 800×600.

The backend programming that drives this site was all done in Ruby on Rails, and is available for other similar member-driven community groups.

All web programming and design was done by Eric Wagoner.
