To preserve the Broad River as a free-flowing system and to support land use compatible with the maintenance of water quality, scenic rural character, and the preservation of sensitive natural areas and wildlife habitat.

The Broad River Blue Trail has 5 information kiosks. The Georgia River Network awarded the BRWA $5k for it's participation and help with the Paddle Georgia project. Some of this money was used to build and install these kiosks at river access points along the river.

The Annual Spring Shoal Lily Float on the Broad River. The Broad River Watershed Association will host a float on Saturday, May 19, to view the rare shoal lily along the lower section of the Broad River between SR 17 and SR 79 at the mouth of Clark Hill Lake.
